The Federal Bar Council’s First Decade Committee Atlantic City Trip
This one-night trip will include a reception, two CLE programs on Saturday morning, and a group breakfast.
The following 2 CLE programs will be presented:
Your Myers Briggs Personality Type: How Self-Understanding Can Inform Leadership and Advocacy –
Led by John DiPippa, Former Dean of the Arkansas Law School.
This program involves each participants’ taking of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (“MBTI”) test and exploring how personality type and individual cognitive styles inform our communications, leadership, and advocacy. The MBTI is a powerful and accessible way for people to understand their individual cognitive styles and can provide a vocabulary in which people can identify, discuss, and develop their communication and interpersonal styles.
Mastering the Deposition: Strategies and Best Practices –
Led by Laura B. Hoguet, Esq. (Hoguet Newman Regal & Kenney LLP), David J. Sheehan, Esq. (Baker & Hostetler LLP), and James M. Wicks, Esq. (St. John’s Law School, Farrell Fritz, P.C.).
This program explores the fundamentals of what it takes to master a deposition, including how to maximize your preparation, listen effectively, and elicit the most helpful information possible, including from uncooperative witnesses. Using the wealth of experience from the panelists, you will be exposed to some of the information necessary to secure favorable results for your clients
