As a Tax Certiorari Paralegal, you will be responsible for assisting attorneys with all aspects of tax certiorari proceedings related to real estate and commercial real estate. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience with strong knowledge of real estate and commercial real estate law, tax certiorari proceedings and appeals. A successful candidate will have analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with strong people skills and will be effective in researching issues, reconciling databases, and completing detailed calculations. Excellent organizational and time management skills as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. Job Posting: Real Property Tax Analyst (Uniondale)
Farrell Fritz, P.C., a well-established, team-minded, New York regional law firm, is seeking an experienced Real Property Tax Analyst for their growing property tax reduction and abatement practice in its Uniondale office.
As a Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all aspects of tax certiorari proceedings and supporting the general functions of the practice, from the intake of new matters to the processing of settlements. The Analyst performs independent research and analytical reviews in support of the Property Tax practice and maintains software databases to ensure database and reporting integrity. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in property analysis and market research for all property types and familiarity with navigating real property assessment and tax rolls. Experience with the valuation of commercial property is a plus. A successful candidate will have analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with strong people skills and will be effective in researching issues, reconciling databases, and completing detailed calculations. Excellent organizational and time management skills as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess strong proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook and NYSCEF submission and Internet navigation and research. Real estate appraisal experience and proficiency in CoStar, LoopNet, & Market Research are a plus.
