Kristen Van Beek is an associate in the Corporate practice, specifically focused on the Emerging Companies & Venture Capital (ECVC) space.

Kristen is a forward-thinking attorney focused on serving the needs of emerging companies through expertise in technology transactions, entity formation, and funding as well as the use of legal technology and the evolution of law practice management. She has experience advising on strategic intellectual property management, and IP due diligence reviews in M&A transactions. Kristen keeps on top of new and evolving legislation and cases to provide meaningful insights to her clients, as the industry moves rapidly.

For the past year, Kristen served as a law clerk at an ECVC-focused boutique law firm in New York City.

Based in the firm’s New York City office, Kristen has a BSocSci from the University of Cape Town (South Africa), an LLB from the University of Cape Town Law School (South Africa), and an LLM in Law, Technology and Entrepreneurship from Cornell Law School (Cornell Tech). Kristen is admitted in New York, as well as admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
