Ursuline Bedford Park Convent Corporation

Farrell Fritz represented the Ursuline Bedford Park Convent Corporation in its inventive re-use of its North Bronx convent grounds located in the Fordham-Bedford Park neighborhood.

The Convent community relocated to New Rochelle, and the Ursulines sought to utilize their Bronx real estate for affordable housing and other worthy purposes. Peter Curry and a colleague assisted the Ursuline Bedford Park Convent Corporation in negotiating a lease for a portion of the convent building to Fordham University. Fordham will renovate the leased space and use it for administrative office and classrooms for a new computerization initiative the University is undertaking.

Peter continues to work with the Convent community in the re-use of the remaining convent property.
