Mary Tonna is a commercial litigator who supports clients in resolving business disputes. She works with the firm’s trial team across all phases of litigation, providing support in legal research, due diligence, documentation, and case preparation.
Mary rejoins the firm after serving as a summer associate, which was an invaluable experience to her legal education. During the summer after her first year of law school, Mary gained valuable federal court experience as a judicial intern under the Honorable Marcia M. Henry at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. In this role, she conducted legal research on civil and criminal matters.
During law school, Mary served as the Notes & Comments Editor for the ACTEC (The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel) Law Journal at Hofstra. She also served as a student-intern for the Community & Economic Development Clinic, where she provided legal assistance to non-profits, social movement groups, and cooperatives, social enterprises, and other small businesses.
