Kadan M. Sample - Farrell Fritz

Kadan Sample is a banking and finance lawyer representing lenders and borrowers in commercial real estate finance and C&I transactions. Representing large national and regional lending institutions and small community banks, Kadan closes acquisition loans, construction and permanent loans, cash-out refinances, pre-development loans, lines of credit and SWAP transactions. Kadan has facilitated closings for developer clients engaged in purchasing, rehabilitating and/or constructing hotels, apartment complexes, retail malls, office buildings and manufacturing and industrial buildings.

Before joining the firm as counsel, Kadan was a principal in a business law firm in New York’s Capital Region, handling a range of commercial lending and real estate matters. She was also an associate at a boutique law firm focused on affordable housing development using low-income housing tax credits issued by the federal government and State of New York.

Representation of a large national bank providing a $97,500,000 participated loan facility to the largest non-profit in New York State.
Representation of an LLC constructing a national franchise resort hotel in a tourist destination in upstate New York using conventional financing and assistance from the County IDA.
Representation of a family-owned LLC refinancing an apartment complex in Central Park West.
Representation of a New York LLC with Canadian principals borrowing a line of credit from a national lending institution.
Representation a century old faith-based not-for-profit corporation and 501 (c)(3) organization providing human services to help families coping with issues of abuse, neglect, homelessness, mental illness and other challenges. Assisted the client in acquiring land from the County of Albany, negotiated financing documents and obtained necessary consents to construct an apartment building with affordable housing units in the City of Albany.
