Bret Cahn will serve as a speaker at the New York State Bar Association CLE program, “Navigating Ethical Issues in Surrogate’s Court.”
The program will explore key ethical considerations attorneys face in Surrogate’s Court practice, including serving as Guardian Ad Litem (GAL), acting as a fiduciary, and navigating complex client-related issues in both estate planning and administration.
Additional topics will include representing clients with diminished capacity, joint representation of spouses, fiduciary and beneficiary representation, fee considerations, and the advocate-witness rule.
