Farrell Fritz is pleased to announce the addition of David E. Restrepo to its growing Albany office.
David E. Restrepo joins the firm as Counsel in the firm’s Commercial Litigation, Healthcare, and New York State Regulatory & Government Relations practices. A seasoned commercial litigator, David advises businesses on complex disputes, with particular experience involving healthcare institutions and providers. He also advises healthcare clients on transactional and regulatory matters. In addition, David will serve as a registered lobbyist for the firm, leveraging a long career in public service during which he has cultivated deep relationships with lawmakers and key stakeholders across myriad industries in the Albany area.
David brings a strong judicial perspective to his practice, drawing on nearly a decade with the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department. As Senior Principal Law Clerk to an Appellate Division Justice, he played a key role in evaluating appeals, analyzing complex legal issues, and drafting appellate decisions and opinions across a broad range of civil, administrative, and criminal matters. This experience gives David a sophisticated understanding of how courts assess legal arguments, determine outcomes, and apply the law to complex disputes — a unique perspective that helps clients develop informed legal strategies.
David received his J.D. from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University and his B.A. from Montclair State University. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
