John Racanelli Honored at 2023 Cornerstone Awards by The Lawyers Alliance of New York

We proudly congratulate John Racanelli on being a recipient of a 2023 Cornerstone Award from the Lawyers Alliance for New York! On November 1st, 2023 the Lawyers Alliance for New York announced John would be among the thirteen talented individuals selected from more than 2,200 business and transactional lawyers who volunteered through Lawyers Alliance during the past year.

“This year’s Cornerstone Awardees have provided high caliber legal counsel combined with enthusiasm for the nonprofit clients’ missions.  The result is stronger nonprofit programs, operations, and finances, enabling these organizations to have a more positive and far-reaching impact on the lives of people of all ages.  We thank these honorees along with all of our volunteers for the dedication and service,” said Elizabeth M. Guggenheimer, Executive Director of Lawyers Alliance.

John is being recognized for his expert real estate counsel which helped nonprofits with complex commercial lease transactions, including The Hope Program, Caribbean Cultural
Center African Diaspora Institute, and the WHIN Music Community Charter School (WHIN).

Since 1997, Lawyers Alliance has presented Cornerstone Awards annually to a select group of individuals and institutions that have made extraordinary contributions through pro bono legal services. These services help nonprofits to address critical human needs and improve the quality of life for thousands of low-income New Yorkers.
