Nassau Aviators Wheelchair Sports Association

Nassau Aviators Wheelchair Sports Association (NAWSA) is a non-profit organization. Their mission is to provide, promote and develop access to opportunities for individuals with physical disabilities. They have become actively involved in athletic and recreational activities throughout Nassau County in order to improve such individuals’ health and overall quality of life.

Jim Wicks, referred the president of NAWSA, Anthony Fitzgerald, to our firm. With assistance from Farrell Fritz, NAWSA was incorporated. Subsequently, Lou Vlahos assisted NAWSA with applying for tax-exempt status. As a charitable 501C(3) organization, NAWSA can now raise money to expand the breadth of their services and reach more individuals with disabilities in our local community.

In July 2011, FiOS1 News Long Island aired a story on Tony Fitzgerald, founder of NAWSA. In this feature, NAWSA is shown playing softball against a Farrell Fritz team.
