James M. Wicks Appointed Chair of the United States District Court’s Eastern District of New York’s Civil Litigation Committee

James M. Wicks, a partner in Farrell Fritz’s commercial litigation department, was recently appointed Chair of the United States District Court’s Eastern District of New York’s (E.D.N.Y.) Civil Litigation Committee.  He was appointed to this position by Chief Judge Carol Bagley Amon.

 

Mr. Wicks, an East Setauket, NY resident, contributes to the firm’s New York Commercial Division Case Compendium blog.  He serves on several professional/legal committees and charitable organization boards.  Mr. Wicks is an Adjunct Professor at St. John’s University School of Law, where he teaches pretrial advocacy.  He earned his J.D. degree from St. John’s University School if Law and his undergraduate degree from Wheeling College.
