Helping The Unisphere Foundation Beautify the City

August 11, 2011

The Unisphere Foundation is a not-for-profit foundation that was founded in 2003 and operates out of Queens, New York. Its mission is to maintain and restore Flushing Meadows Corona Park, as well as expand programs available in the park. With 1,285 acres of land that has housed world fairs, numerous sporting events, and major social events, Flushing Meadows Corona Park is an important area to Queens and New York City.

Charlotte A. Biblow was recommended to The Unisphere Foundation through Louis Vlahos, a tax partner at Farrell Fritz. The Unisphere Foundation was looking to implement a four year study on the Flushing Meadows Corona Park’s aquatic ecosystems and needed legal help. Charlotte and Jeffrey Rust helped the Foundation negotiate and draft the contracts with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection and with the foundation’s contractors. The study is now underway.

Charlotte now proudly sits on The Unisphere Foundation’s board of directors.
