Farrell Fritz Partners Named to the New York Super Lawyers and Rising Stars Lists

Farrell Fritz congratulates seven partners on being selected for inclusion on the New York Super Lawyers 2011 – Metro Edition list. The seven partners and the areas of law for which they have been recognized are John J. Barnosky, Ilene S. Cooper and John R. Morken (Estate & Trust Litigation); Ted A. Berkowitz and Patrick T. Collins (Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights); Peter L. Curry (Real Estate); and James M. Wicks (Business Litigation).

The firm also congratulates partner Eric W. Penzer (Estate & Trust Litigation) on being selected for inclusion on the New York Rising Stars 2011 – Metro Edition list.

Farrell Fritz has the highest number of attorneys named to the Super Lawyers list throughout New York State in the area of estate litigation, and is one of only two New York State law firms to have a Rising Star in this category.

Super Lawyers is a listing of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Attorneys are selected using a rigorous, multiphase process. Peer nominations and evaluations are combined with third party research. Each candidate is evaluated on twelve indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis. For Rising Stars, lawyers nominate the best attorneys who are 40 or under, or who have been practicing for ten years or less. The attorney-led research tem reviews the general survey and credentials of candidates, assigning points based on a set of evaluation criteria. Those with the highest point totals are named to the list.
