Farrell Fritz Partner, Lyle C. Mahler, to Receive Long Island Business News’ “40 Under 40” Award

Lyle C. Mahler, a partner in Farrell Fritz’s corporate and banking department, has been selected by Long Island Business News as a “40 Under 40” award recipient. Each year Long Island Business News honors forty Long Island professionals under the age of forty for their business leadership and community involvement.

Among his community activities, Mr. Mahler serves on the Board of Directors of Stages of Learning, Inc., a not-for-profit organization that uses theatre as a way to enhance the school’s curriculum in grades three through six.

Further, Mr. Mahler has been an active member of the Annual Sports Day Committee since 2006, raising money for both Schneider Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island. He is a past member of the House’s Annual Golf and Tennis Outing Committee and served on the House’s Business Advisory Committee from 2005-2007.

Mr. Mahler is also a member of Sterling National Bank’s Business Advisory Board, a position he has held since 2006. In May 2008, he was recognized by Long Island Business News as “Ones to Watch in Banking”.

Mr. Mahler’s legal practice involves counseling businesses on a variety of corporate matters, including commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions and joint venture arrangements. He also has substantial experience representing lenders in both secured and unsecured loan transactions. Additionally, Mr. Mahler regularly advises banks and their general counsel on legal matters relating to credit issues and transaction structure.
