Farrell Fritz Partner, Ilene Sherwyn Cooper, Appointed Co-Chair of the Fellows of the New York Bar Foundation for the 10th Judicial District

Farrell Fritz is pleased to announce that Ilene Sherwyn Cooper was recently appointed co-chair of the Fellows of the New York Bar Foundation for the 10th Judicial District. In this position, she will be responsible for coordinating educational and social functions, raising awareness about the Foundation and its mission, attracting funding and garnering new Fellows.

 

The Foundation is a charitable and philanthropic entity of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA).  The Fellows are members of the bench and bar who have attained outstanding professional achievement, dedication to their profession and commitment to the organized bar.  For more information, visit their website.

 

Ms. Cooper, a Dix Hills, NY resident, concentrates her practice in estate litigation.  She is a contributor to the firm’s New York Trusts & Estates Litigation blog.  Ms. Cooper is a member of the NYSBA’s Committees on Legal Education and Admission to the Bar and on Professional Discipline, as well as a member of the New York Bar Foundation’s House of Delegates.  She is a former chair of the NYSBA Trusts & Estates Law Section and its Committee on Trust & Estate Administration, and a former member of the NYSBA Special Committee on Fiduciary Appointments.  Ms. Cooper earned her Juris Doctor degree from Hofstra University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Cornell University.
