While e-filing is not new to New York, it is new to Surrogate’s Court. It presents different protocols and unique challenges. This one credit CLE course will introduce the e-filing rules in Surrogate’s Court and the variations between counties. The presentation will take attendees through a mock e-filed application with step-by-step instructions from commencement through decree. The course will also cover which counties have implemented voluntary and mandatory e-filing programs, how to pay filing fees, how to make status inquiries, and the pros and cons of the program.
Attendees will receive 1 CLE credit in Professional Practice.
