City & State New York’s 2021 Responsible 100

Farrell Fritz partner Mark Ustin was named to City & State New York’s Responsible 100 list. The list recognizes leaders – in business, government, nonprofits and advocacy – who exemplify the optimism and idealism that make New York a national leader, especially as partisan gridlock hinders the nation’s ability to contend with an unending pandemic, heightened racial tensions and a rising climate crisis.

Job description

I manage the Albany office of Farrell Fritz PC, a full-service business law firm based on Long Island. My practice primarily involves helping providers and others in the health care space understand the maze of federal and state laws and policies affecting their work, which has become critical during the COVID-19 pandemic, as providers and suppliers have struggled to get care and supplies to the people who need them in a rapidly changing legal environment. It has been great to be part of the solution when the pandemic has made so many people feel powerless.

Defining social responsibility

Social responsibility means making sure you do good while you do well. I have the privilege of working for a firm that recognizes this and actively supports community involvement at all levels.
