Sonia A. Kaczmarzyk is a commercial litigator who represents clients in business disputes. Her practice includes conducting pretrial discovery, legal research, and drafting motion papers. She recently served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Queens County District Attorney’s Office where she prosecuted misdemeanor and felony criminal cases in the Queens Criminal Court and Supreme Court. Sonia handled all aspects of criminal cases including investigation, grand jury presentment, plea negotiation, motion practice, pre-trial hearings, and trial.
Sonia was a legal intern to the Honorable Daniel Palmieri, Nassau County Supreme Court and an intern at Block, O’Toole, and Murphy, LLP.
While a law student at St. John’s University School of Law, Sonia served as Director of the Reverend Joseph T. Tinnelly and Honorable Milton Mollen Competitions for the Moot Court Honor Society. She also competed in several Moot Court competitions where she placed as a Quarterfinalist in Brooklyn Law School’s Prince Evidence Moot Court Competition and Semifinalist in St. John’s School of Law’s Honorable Milton Mollen Moot Court Competition.
Sonia is fluent in Polish.
