About Richmund
Richmund Sta. Lucia is an experienced attorney admitted to practice in New York and the U.S. Tax Court. He is also a licensed attorney and certified public accountant in the Philippines.
Rich’s legal practice is concentrated on estate planning. He drafts sophisticated wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, advance health care directives, powers of attorney, and related documentation. Rich advises clients in matters relating to wealth preservation and creating tax efficiencies for clients and their families’ private wealth and businesses. To complement his estate planning practice, Rich also has experience in estate administration and trusts & estates litigation.
Beginning his law career as a banking and finance attorney at a major international law firm, Rich represented major multinational corporations, drafted finance-related documentation, and conducted due diligence review. Rich accumulated diverse experience working in New York-based law firms with practice areas ranging from corporate to litigation, including commercial dispute resolution.
Rich has also been heavily involved in pro bono work. His legal advocacy centers on promoting renewable energy and environmental law. He previously collaborated with Professor Michael Gerrard at Columbia Law School’s Sabin Center for Climate Change Law. He is also a strong advocate for sustainable development and green financing. Rich previously worked as a research fellow at the Columbia Center for Sustainable Investment.
He obtained his Master of Laws from Columbia Law School in 2018 where he graduated as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and was awarded the Appel Fellowship.

Rich has dedicated time to volunteering in the community. He has served as a volunteer at the Bantay Katarungan (Sentinels of Justice), as well as at the Share-the-Road Movement (Bayanihan sa Daan).
He has served as a Board Director / Treasurer, Rotary Club of Makati-McKinley, and was also a Resident Member, International House from 2017-2018.
