Queensbridge Scholarship Fund

Farrell Fritz first became involved with the Queensbridge and Ravenswood public housing projects in Long Island City through its pro bono work on behalf of the East River Development Alliance, a group founded specifically to help residents there. The firm’s commitment to supporting economic expansion in Queens continues with its support of the Queensbridge Scholarship Fund.

Louis Vlahos, along with two colleagues, helped establish the fund as a non-profit entity and advocated for the organization to obtain federal, New York State and New York City tax exemptions. The Fund’s mission is to provide educational grants to high school seniors and other residents of the Queensbridge project seeking to further their education in college.
