| The environmental team at Farrell Fritz provides sophisticated, innovative and cost-effective legal counseling and representation in all areas of environmental law. We have considerable experience in chemical regulation and compliance, permitting, water and air pollution, wetlands, solid and hazardous waste management, federal and state Superfund and Brownfields sites, and underground and above-ground chemical and petroleum storage systems. Our attorneys have broad experience representing clients before federal and state courts and administrative agencies in all aspects of environmental law. More often than not, we assist clients in solving their problems before entering a courtroom, but, if necessary, we have the experience and skills necessary to litigate environmental, toxic torts, and products liability lawsuits. We also assist clients in evaluating and addressing the environmental risks of their activities. We develop appropriate contract provisions to allocate environmental liabilities in a broad range of business transactions such as real property transfers, mergers, public and private financings, corporate restructuring, due diligence, and audits. Our practice group has been at the front lines of the development of environmental case law. We served as lead counsel in a federal Superfund case described by Newsday as "one of the most complicated" in New York State. Our goal is to work with our clients to help them effectively navigate through the complex world of environmental law. |
