John P. McEntee Appointed to Judicial Qualification Commission

April 22, 2016

John P. McEntee, the Immediate Past President of the Nassau County Bar Association, has been appointed by the Chief Administrative Judge of the State of New York as a member of the New York State Independent Judicial Qualification Commission for the Tenth Judicial District.  The Commission investigates the qualifications and background of candidates seeking judicial office in Nassau and Suffolk Counties and determines whether candidates are highly qualified, qualified, or not qualified to serve as judges.  The Commission promotes greater confidence in the judicial election process and the judiciary by assuring voters that candidates have been thoroughly screened to ensure they possess the qualities necessary for effective judicial performance.

McEntee, a Rockville Centre, New York resident, is a commercial litigation partner at Farrell Fritz, P.C. in Uniondale, New York. He serves as President of the Nassau Bar Foundation, a member of the Board of Trustees of Molloy College, a Fellow of the New York State Bar Foundation, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Federal Bar Association.
