James M. Wicks of Farrell Fritz Appointed to the New York Federal-State Judicial Council’s Advisory Group

James M. Wicks, a commercial litigation partner, has been appointed to the New York Federal-State Judicial Council’s Advisory Group, effective January 1, 2013.
The Federal-State Judicial Council, chaired by Judge Graffeo of the New York State Court of Appeals, is comprised of five judges each from the Federal and State judiciary who work together on issues of common concern. The Advisory Group consists of approximately 35 lawyers and judges from the State who work closely with the Judicial Council.
Mr. Wicks, an East Setauket, NY resident, earned his Juris Doctor degree from St. John’s University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Wheeling College. Some of his prestigious professional achievements include membership in the International Association of Independent Private Sector Inspectors General (IAIPSIG); being appointed by Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman to the New York State Judicial Institute on Professionalism in the Law and being nominated for a Fellowship in the Litigation Counsel of America.
