Jeffrey P. Rust
Jeffrey P. Rust is counsel concentrating in health care and corporate and banking law. His experience includes a broad range of transactional and regulatory matters, representing healthcare providers as well as private and public companies in various industries. Mr. Rust's practice includes mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, equity and debt financings, corporate governance, employment agreements, shareholder and partnership agreements, business divorce settlements, and the formation and operation of for-profit and not-for-profit entities. In his health care practice, he advises a variety of health care providers, including hospitals, health systems, multi- and single-specialty medical practices, and healthcare entrepreneurs. He represents these entities in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, physician employment agreements and management services arrangements. He provides counsel regarding self referral and Stark implications of hospital-physician relationships, reviews reimbursement issues, and provides advice on a broad range of business and legal issues.
In 2007, Mr. Rust was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Long Island Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation.
He received his J.D. from The University of Akron School of Law in 1999, where he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Akron Law Review. Mr. Rust also earned an M.B.A. in Finance from The University of Akron College of Business. He graduated from the State University of New York College at Geneseo in 1992 with a B.S. in Management.
Mr. Rust is a member of the New York State and American Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice in New York
