Farrell Fritz Welcomes Elizabeth Vail, Land Use Attorney, to its Water Mill Office

Elizabeth (Liz) E. Vail, a lifelong resident of Southampton, is counsel in the firm’s land use & municipal department. Her practice includes representing clients in commercial litigation and land use and development applications before municipal boards, including zoning and planning boards in towns and villages in Suffolk County. She also represents clients in state and district courts in connection with their litigated matters.

For two years prior to joining Farrell Fritz, Ms. Vail was the Town Attorney for the Town of East Hampton. She also previously served as an Assistant Town Attorney for the Town of Southampton (2005 to 2013) and as Assistant District Attorney for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office (2002 to 2005).

Ms. Vail is admitted to practice in New York State and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Ms. Vail earned her Juris Doctor degree from St. John’s University School of Law, where she was an Articles Editor for the St. John’s Journal of Legal Commentary. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Dickinson College. Ms. Vail also studied in Bologna, Italy.
