Farrell Fritz Attorney Heather P. Harrison Named Secretary on Flushing Council on Culture and the Arts Board

Farrell Fritz congratulates commercial litigation associate Heather P. Harrison on her recent appointment as secretary of the board of directors for Flushing Council on Culture and the Arts/Flushing Town Hall. She also serves on the Governance/Nominating and Development Committees.

Ms. Harrison, a Forest Hills, NY resident, concentrates her practice in labor and employment law. She advises clients on various employment issues, including wage and hour matters, hiring, disciplinary and discharge processes, family and medical leave policies, employee handbooks, Title VII, the Fair Labor Standards Act and employment audits.

In 2013, Ms. Harrison was honored as a Public Interest Attorney of the Year at Touro Law Center’s Goods and Services Auction. In 2011, she was selected by The Queens Courier as a “Rising Star” award recipient for her leadership skills in the legal field, as well as in the community.

Ms. Harrison earned her Juris Doctor degree from St. John’s University School of Law and her Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Oneonta.
