Join local, state and national leaders, land use practitioners, and community members to address the formidable challenge of moving from resiliency planning to implementation.
Topics will include the newly enacted Community Risk & Resiliency Act, model resiliency codes, the confluence of smart growth and resiliency, legal hurdles to living shores, the role of LWRPs, qualification for the NFIP Community Rating System, and mapping and other practical tools.
Conference presenters will include representatives from local and county governments, NY DOS, and DEC, FEMA, EPA, and US Army Corp of Engineers, as well as climatologists, marine scientists and leading land use and municipal law scholars. Participants can earn CLE, APA-CM, and New York State planning and zoning training credits (credits TBD).
