Farrell Fritz trusts and estates attorneys, Ilene S. Cooper and Robert M. Harper, will be presenting, “Who’s Your Daddy?,” to faculty and physicians at SUNY Stony Brook Hospital’s Pediatric Grand Rounds. Their presentation will address the issues of paternity and posthumous genetic testing, as well as the inheritance rights of posthumously-conceived children. In addition, Ilene and Robert will address the authority of estate fiduciaries to dispose of decedents’ reproductive material.
Pediatric Grand Rounds consist of a one-hour lecture focusing on obtaining and using information about their own population of patients and the larger population from which their patients are drawn; locating, appraising, and assimilating evidence from scientific studies related to their patients’ health problems; and facilitating the learning of students and other health care professionals. Each individual lecture has specific objectives.
