Farrell Fritz is a sponsor for this event and will have our own “Team Farrell Fritz” Steve Davi, Executive Leadership Committee member for the LLS, is our team captain.  Please join Team Farrell Fritz in participating in the annual Light The Night Walk on October 18th at Eisenhower Park. Light The Night is annual evening walk that benefits The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).

Did you know that more than 1 million Americans are living with, or are in remission from a blood cancer? LLS offers a variety of programs and services to patients and their families in support of its mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. These programs include:

  • Investing more than $1 billion in research since 1954 ($74 million last year alone)
  • Assisting patients through support groups and financial aid, and
  • Advocating for legislation in the best interest of blood cancer patients.

You can help:

  • You can register with Team Farrell Fritz to join the fun.
  • Invite Family & Friends to join our team. They can register at Team Farrell Fritz  to walk with us.
  • Review and share this inspirational link to a short video on the accomplishments in research LLS has made and a story about a little girl who has reaped from the progress they have made: Emma’s story
  • Work with your colleagues to host a fundraising event – bake sales, lunch socials, and bar parties are popular

About the Walk. There is no registration fee to participate. Instead, each walker is encouraged to raise $100 or more to become a Champion For Cures. Champions For Cures receive a special illuminated lantern, t-shirt and food on walk night. The illuminated lanterns have special meaning: red for supporters, white for survivors, and gold in memory of a life lost to cancer.

Activities: There will be a kid zone with all kinds of entertainment to keep the little ones entertained!  Additionally, there is a “Mission Area” with inspirational photos, activities and information.
