Part 2 of our comprehensive two-part series on elder law, estate planning and administration continues with this program covering Probate & Estate Administration.

Morning Session

  • Appointment of a Fiduciary for both Administration and Probate
  • Administration of the Estate, including marshaling assets; debts and creditors claims; the role of the public administrator; post-death estate planning and decanting

Afternoon Session

  • Administration of the Estate, continued, including estates that include a business, asset valuation, estate tax returns, right of election and discharging the Fiduciary
  • Estate Litigation and how to avoid it
  • Ethics
