Effective October 2018, NY mandates annual interactive sexual harassment prevention training. To be effective, in-house workshops require knowledge, preparation, and practice. Domenique Camacho Moran presents this full-day seminar, at which attendees will:
Increase Awareness. From recent changes in federal and state laws to regulatory guidance and court decisions, the standards for determining what constitutes unlawful harassment in the workplace have changed.
Master the Basics. Learn to quickly spot “quid pro quo” and “hostile work environment” behaviors. Create a list of inappropriate conduct and habits that cross the line or send mixed signals. Spot who can be a harasser and who can be harassed. Using case studies, identify potential risks in the workplace.
Prepare a Training Plan for Your Organization. Who will participate in small groups? Who will facilitate? What information will be presented? What style works best?
Practice. In small groups, present segments of sexual harassment prevention training and respond to real-life questions that arise during training sessions.
