The conduct of executors and trustees is often questioned, especially in these difficult economic times. Those who are interested in an estate or trust have to weigh a number of factors in deciding whether or not to file objections to a fiduciary’s accounting. Section 2211 of the Surrogate’s Court Procedure Act helps them to make that decision by authorizing pre-objection examinations of the account fiduciary.
This program will cover the various procedures associated with obtaining an accounting, taking examinations under SCPA Section 2211, and raising accounting objections. You will gain insight into the underlying law and tips for effective procedures.
Farrell Fritz trusts and estates associates, Jaclene D’Agostino and Robert Harper, will be presenting.
