How does your extensive experience help clients achieve their end goals?
Commercial leasing, especially retail leasing, is a unique practice that requires a level of know-how that few general real estate attorneys possess. My extensive experience, initially in real estate development for a large retail chain and subsequently with Farrell Fritz, enables me to provide valuable practical and legal advice for contract and lease negotiations.
“When clients value my counsel and rely on my guidance, then I am successful.”
What is the key to building solid client relationships?
I think it is a combination of things. It starts with listening and understanding my client’s goals and objectives. Clients appreciate knowledgeable and experienced counsel, combined with continued communication throughout the transaction and taking an interest in their business.
You have been with Farrell Fritz since 1991. What makes the firm stand out from others?
It’s the quality of our people. Farrell Fritz has highly qualified, hardworking lawyers who are committed to our clients. It’s a collegial, collaborative team. We all work well together, which ultimately benefits the client. Essentially, what makes our firm successful – our people – is what helps make our clients successful.
You are included in The Best Lawyers in America in real estate law. Why is this meaningful?
Best Lawyers is the oldest peer-reviewed publication in our profession. To have received this distinction in the same year I received the highest rating from Martindale-Hubbell validates the hard work and professionalism that has always been the foundation of my practice in law.
