With more than a decade spent in public service for the towns of East Hampton and Southampton, Elizabeth has a wealth of experience in securing town approvals, advising clients on potential State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) issues, and navigating town government zoning and planning boards. After years in the public sector, why was Farrell Fritz the right place to begin private practice?

Farrell Fritz is one of the largest firms on Long Island, with a broad range of practice areas. East End attorneys at Farrell Fritz provide local expertise and service to their clients, while also having access to a wide range of knowledge from 80+ attorneys in our Hauppauge, Uniondale and New York offices. This enables the firm to offer comprehensive legal services that are unparalleled on the East End of Long Island. Farrell Fritz’s commitment to giving back and serving the community is also exceptional and something I very much look forward to participating in.

“Success means managing your clients’ expectations and achieving their goals while affording them the greatest legal protection available.”

How does your public sector experience benefit your clients?

As an Assistant Town Attorney and Town Attorney, I represented almost every land use and municipal board in East Hampton and Southampton town government. Those opportunities have allowed me to develop strong working relationships with the individuals serving on those boards and the staff that support them. These relationships will help me to be more efficient on behalf of my clients. Moreover, during my tenure I gained an excellent understanding of municipal law and the legal standards that boards must meet in approving applications.  The knowledge I gained will benefit my clients and help me to achieve successful outcomes on their behalf.
